What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so the site can recognise the same browser across pages and visits. Cookies cannot read files on your device or run programs.

Before you choose: nothing

Until you accept analytics, this site sets no cookies and makes no request to Google or anyone else. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, look at Application → Cookies and at the Network tab, and both are empty of third parties on every page.

This is stricter than the common approach. Google's Consent Mode allows a site to load its tag immediately and send “cookieless pings” until you accept. We do not do that, because a cookieless ping is still a transmission to a processor before consent.

If you accept analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads through Google Tag Manager and sets the two cookies below. We do not upload names, email addresses or phone numbers to Google, and Google Signals and advertising personalisation are switched off on the property.

• —_ga — assigns a random identifier so repeat visits from the same browser count as one visitor rather than several. It holds no name, email or phone number. Two years.
• —_ga_<property> — holds the state of your current session: when it started and whether it is still running. The suffix identifies our Analytics property, not you. Two years.

Your choice, stored

Whichever you pick is saved in your browser's local storage under proxpat:consent, so you are not asked again on every page. It records the word “granted” or “denied” and nothing else, is never sent to our server, and is not readable by any other site.

Changing your mind

Clear this site's data in your browser settings and reload — the choice is forgotten and you will be asked again. You can also block cookies globally in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on to stop Google Analytics on every site you visit. Declining limits nothing here: every page, the pricing and the contact form work identically either way.

The one thing stored in your browser

This site has an “Inspect” control in the header that reveals the measurement annotations layered over the design. If you switch it on, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key proxpat:inspect, so the page does not forget it when you navigate. That is the only thing written, it is written only if you use the control, it never leaves your browser, and it contains the word “on” or “off” and nothing else.

Local storage is not a cookie: it is never sent to our server, and it is not readable by any other site. Clearing your browser data removes it.

What we do not use, either way

• —No advertising or remarketing cookies
• —No Meta, LinkedIn or TikTok pixels
• —No session recording or heatmap tools
• —No cross-site tracking
• —No Google Signals or advertising personalisation

Why we ask at all

We are established in Dubai and process personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (the PDPL), which requires a lawful basis. For analytics on a marketing site, consent is the basis that fits — so we ask, and we do not load anything until you answer.

The contact form

Submitting the contact form sends what you typed to our inbox by email. It sets no cookie and starts no tracking. What happens to that information is covered by the privacy policy.
